I bought a coll cage kit from chassis engineering then paid somebody to weld it in place. I'm not that good of a welder and it has to pass tech at the dragway.

I should be heading back to the track near the end of the month I'll let you know next time I'm going I used to post it but nobody but me, Kevin, and Brandon ever showed up.

Stock 1g eclipses weigh about 3200 pounds the last time I weighed my car it was 2680. But It is back in my garage now losing about another 100. I'm going to get it under 2500 when I'm done. The wheels, tires, and brakes I'm doing should help a lot.

I'e had quite a few vehicles in my day, of all types and sizes...
And one of the most critical things I have learned is just how wise Colin Chapman was.

Weight is The Enemy.

Looks like the car is gonna be great man- hell, I might even try and get up there, and its been years and years (about 20) since I've gone. ;)

I have a stupid question that didnt need its own thread, so i wanted to hijack yours. thanks.

I unscrewing my momo shift know today, and it kept spinning and spinning. Luckily after 3 minutes of stupidity, i realized that its crossthreaded and the ****er is not coming off...needless to say my $50 shift knob, is ****ed and its spinning around freeely. Its really pissing me off, any advice as to how to remove it? I kinda wanna bring it to subaru and ask them how to remove it, since i lost the instructions. Im sure it would piss them off if i brought it in. HAHA, recommendations?
