Good goddamn. I guess they meant it when they said astronomical high tides. Apparently these are perfect conditions for seacoast flooding. Make sure your cars are up high folks. Not much anyone can do about the houses. Too bad.

2 out of three ways to my house were closed. Jon, my dad and I have a lot of those same pix lol. The whole sea wall was down by the beach club. Ill try to put some up once he gets them loaded up. Everything is starting to go down now.

I saw lobster pots washed up everywhere I went pretty much. It was crazy high tides. moon tides plus storm surge and the wind from the east for the past couple days. wicked pissah of a storm.

Everything is suppose to flood again tonight. We have a high tide coming up around 11 and still have a good storm surge that will cause everything that flooded today to flood again tonight. Atleast thats what i was told.

I've never seen it that bad on 1A. Will be a while before that's totally fixed..

Seacoast Online (http://www.seacoastonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070416/NEWS/70416036) has a pile of photos from the day. Click on "Flood Of April 16".

I ended up taking 310 pics today. A lot of them had water on the lens so they aren't the greatest. I'm going to go through them and weed out the bad ones and maybe post some more up.

On another note. I couldn't get to my house tonight. It was blocked off because the road into New Castle was flooded by the river so they decided to close it off WAY before, like a mile before the flooded area. The coast guard was coming though the road block in a van and wouldn't let me through even though i could see my house and there wasn't any water on the road. I just sat there and waited for them to leave and had to get out in the rain and move that crap just to get home. Oh and it's still DAMN windy out.

Thanks for all the pics proxy.

I got out there this morning on one of our 47 foot response boats. Those things can flip over and self right itself, and trust me it works.

We went up north to the Jonesport Maine area were seas are still pretty crazy and purposely rolled the boat over. Hell of a time.

My station got trashed **** everywhere and 4 feet of water down at the marine safety detachment.

Yea I heard that. I wished we had rolled that 47 all the way around but it sure felt like we did. Nothing like laying sideways on a boat haha.
