Looking to add a little to the STI and need some help.

Here's the plan.....
Looking to buy some Rota G-Forces next spring 18x9 with a +35 offset. My concern is that the width of the wheel/tire combo, going with a 235 or 245 tire, won't clear the current Prodrive springs. So.....with that being said, this fall/winter I'd like to change up the suspension but not sure what to go with to make sure next spring/summers wheel and tire package will fit. Do you think this will require fender rolling or pulling?

HELP!.........:spin:

Depends on how low you go...

Go with TEIN flexs and you should be good.

Everyone that I know of running a wheel that wide with that low of an offset are on coilovers. If you are planning on going any lower than stock, you'll have to roll all fenders and pull the rears.

+1. Pick a coilover that suits your needs though. There are plenty of them out there. If you would like some choices that I know of send me a PM or put it one here:

1. What kind of driving do you do?
2. Any plans of racing? (track, autox, drag)
3. Budget?
4. Full time automobile or seasonal?

With those in mind, I might be able to help pick a coilover that will suit your needs. I am no specialist or genius, nor do I claim to be the best person at helping (although I may be close :)), just a guy that likes suspension and has been spending quite a bit of time researching it. :)

your gonna need to roll your fenders.and I would get a set of bcracing coilovers or what ever brand you can get a crazy deal on.
If you really want to track the car go with a set or rce tarmac II's coilovers. I know a few people that wern't to happy with there teins under hard abuse.

theclap also has a website on how to roll your fenders and all that good stuff.

I'll be ordering some 18X9 rota grids for next summer. I want to run 255's or bigger though:devil:

I would definitely avoid TEIN. Yeah they have some good stuff but anything other than a MONOflex isn't worth the money and then you are spending a ton of money anyway.

RCE tarmac 2 are NICeee. I would love those and they are my top choice. Those or KW Variant 3's.

In general I don't have a high opinion of Tein and their Subaru products.

Personally I had a set of Bilstein PSS9 coilovers on my WRX and they were awesome. Guy I sold them to Loves them too. BMW guy I met said he has them and Loves them too. Bilsteins rode better than my stock STI suspension too.

I think they are great! If you want to spend the 1300-1500 DO IT! I would be very jealous if you had those.

There is a woman that races and NHMS with an 04/05 AW WRX with endura techs and she says they are amazing. Every review I have read and heard in person has been nothing short of great.
