View Full Version : Spring/Summer 2009 Mod Plans

For me, the winter months bring a stop to mods and work done on my vehicle. This due in part mostly to not having a garage at my apartment and because all my free days are typically spent on the mountain carving some turns and enjoying the rare New England powder days.

While the work might slow down for me, the plans don't. So I'm going to share what my plans are and I welcome all to join in and post up their plans for work to be done on their vehicle. This is not limited to aftermarket plans but don't post up that you'll be continuing your routine oil change schedule because frankly I don't care.

Also, this might help you out. Perhaps someone here has done a similar mod or repair job and can help you out with some pointers you might not have known. So here it goes:

-New front and rear bumper covers will be purchased, painted, and installed to replace my current beat to hell ones. Thank goodness for no more 500+ miles a week on my car!

-All dents removed (have 4 right now, probably a couple more added this winter)

-Tokico struts since I've run stock struts on h-tech springs for roughly 35k miles now (52k miles total on the car) and it's time to replace 'em.

-Going to look at finding some nice 18x8.5 or 18x9 wheels with rubber to surround them

-Since my old replica v-limited lasted only this summer due to my rigorous driving habits (that have come to an end) it will be time to purchase a replacement and have it painted flat black by whoever I have paint my bumper covers (2 birds, 1 stone).

-TurboXS Titanium Cat-Back will be purchased this winter for install to be done in early spring. The ebay special cat-back worked well for a year but I'm looking for something different.

EDIT:

-Front and rear sways with endlinks

-Clear my headlights and smoke them out slightly like so:

I'm sure I'll come up with a couple things more which I will then add to the list.

Well, I've got a few plans aswell. since I got a winter beater I can finally tear my baby apart:D
starting off with delete'n the TGVs, installing a rotated gt30r(with all supporting mods), reversing the intake manifold and selling all my stage 4 parts to afford the Raw performance built 2.5 so I can turn up the boost and blow up my tranny:rofl:
I should have this installed and tuned by spring time...I hope:o
I've allready gotten about half the parts I need for the rotated setup:)

in january im starting by going stage II...

christmas im getting myself an APv2 & stage I off the shelf tune at 93

January:
catless UP and DP (dont know which brand probably Invidia)
Gredy EvoII Catback exhaust with the nice pineapple shooter 4" tips

other things if i have the money:
Short throw shifter
Sways
A pillar gauge pod w/ boost gauge
New grill

Install My old stereo:

I have either 2 12" orions with a 600 watt amp or one kicker L7 solobaric 15" woofer (the square one)

and memphis M-Class component interiors with crossovers and a kicker ZX200.4

Ill have to get a Rockford Fossgage 3sixty.2 because I want to keep the stock 6CD mp3 changer...

thats a good start for me.

In the future I wouldnt mind doing an STI swap with the bigger TMIC or at least getting an aftermarket TMIC

also want to get a Go fast bits hybrid BOV to run at 50/50 and maybe a CAI, although im pretty happy with the stock intake iwth an AVO drop in panel filter
