Now whenever i get a nose bleed, usually its random and i can never figure out why. I just got one and it was running for about 3 minutes which seemed like forever. Afterwards i went online to see what causes bleeds and is there away to stop them. Did you guys know there is an actual method of stopping a bloody nose?
To stop a nosebleed, you should: 1. Pinch all the soft parts of the nose together between your thumb and index finger. 2. Press firmly toward the face - compressing the pinched parts of the nose against the bones of the face. 3. Hold the nose for at least 5 minutes (timed by the clock). Repeat as necessary until the nose has stopped bleeding. 4. Sit quietly, keeping the head higher than the level of the heart; that is, sit up or lie with the head elevated. Do not lay flat or put your head between your legs. 5. Apply ice (crushed in a plastic bag or washcloth) to nose and cheeks.

maybe it wouldnt bleed so much if you just kept your finger out of there.

i get nosebleeds sometimes when humidity changes fast.

you really need to start smoking your cocaine rather than snorting it. give your nose a rest and work on your lungs for a while...

I've had nose bleeds since I was young. Something about a vein being too close to the lining in my nose. Gets pretty bad during the winter when the wood stove is running constantly. I just pinch the soft spot between my thumb and pointer finger and hold it for a few minutes. Usually takes care of it.

^^^ that does work
but pinching the soft spot above the cartilage (between our eyes) works just as well. I get them frequently in the winter due to the dry air. The pinch method works great.
