agreed, I hate the tapatalk app. I allways use the internet so it looks just like what I'm used to :up:

nope still rwd, it will get back to the 4 wheel peel after the wagons on the road and I can take my time in swap'n it back... But I want to do it soon.

Today I was able to complete the oil change and fuel filter change so thats good :) Also seafoam'd it in dans driveway :hide: I've been neglectiing the car for a while now so this was much needed :spin: cleaned out the trunk and interior too so I can fit the parts that I'm picking up tomorrow in it... :lol:

And I've decided that the next thing I'm changing is the wheel color, gonna go black with them this time round :lol: getting sick of people looking at me. Also changing up the exhaust so I won't need a silencer, car sounds like poo with it in...

now as for updates on this car.

Real changes won't happen for a while but when they get done they'll be more semi permanent :lol:

I'll be getting rid of the twinscroll setup and going back with the turboXS rotated turbo setup. The turbo of choice will be the GT30R on the 2.0 and I'll be shooting for 350whp on the stock block :hide:

For injectors I will be running 850's, a water meth kit (maybe AEM), 44mm external wastegate (still have), turboxs cat delete pipe to mate the rotated kit to normal length catback (still have), plus a few more misc parts...

As for the intercooler setup...

I'll be reversing the intake manifold again since my wiring is still run for extra length, my coolant tank is still on the fender well, my alternator and bracket is still modified for lower mounting to clear the throttle body, the fan is still in the oposite location to clear piping, ect...

I will be getting/changing the...

Radiator out for a high flow Honda sized radiator for more room/better fitment, New bigger intercooler core that will be 12 inchs tall instead of the small 6 inch one previously used, the piping will be custom once again but I'll be having them be hard pipe for the most part.

Theres other changes and more parts but thats the main list that I can come up with when I'm overtired :lol:

If I kept the twinscroll manifold I wouldn't be able to give the other parts away so it'll all go as a setup complete. This is a ways out though, and once this is done then the only things I'll be changing or modifing will be the things that need fixing. Want it to be my dream setup, I was close before but couldn't pull it off then.

And I will be awd again so that rwd diff will be up for sale once again :D

I'd like to one day run this as my hill climb car. Performance is about where I want it (since you don't need crazy power for these events anyways) and all I will eventually need performance wise is a retune whenever I decide I'm good and ready.

As for suspension I've allready got strut bars and coilovers. Other things I'd like before I really get involved in the events would be sways, links, and a few other misc. things.

To top it off would be a cage, stiffen everything up, make it safer and would make it so I wouldn't be limited to the break-out time for the mountians :)

that's all in the future, I've allways wanted to run the hillclimb events :spin:

it'll be a clean fab job, I'm using band clamps. That's what I used for making the wrx muffler fit on the wagon.

I'm almost 100% sure my car did terrible because I had taken the silencer out without resetting the ecu or letting it adapt to the setup...

But I'm not sure if I want to get there and find out it's about the same result.
I know it will be lower since I'm now to a full oem turbo back (jdm dp & usdm catback)

well just spent the past few hours working on the wrx, when that thing hit me on the highway it pop'd a bulb or two so I had to take the headlight out to replace some marker lights. then I took the sti fog cover off because its very loose now and put the old one back in. Put my plate bracket back on it since there are holes in it and mounted the plate on the side once again...

oh the long hours/nights I put into this thing... :lol: I'm going to be driving it to work tomorrow and also the rest of the days untill the dyno day. It may be in the shop though... still figure'n that mess out!

Dan and I went for a drive and it pulls hard in every gear, AFR is right around 11 with the pedal down and boost is staying steady at 16/17 in the gears I tried...

Def needs a re-tune because of the exhaust change but the #'s seem good and nothings blow'd up yet! :lol:

actually feels smoother than the last time at the dyno day. damn adaptive ECU, I was an idiot and drove EVERYWHERE with the silencer in then just as I'm goin onto the dyno I take the silencer out... :palm:

ECU didn't know what the **** was going on or why it was flowing better... had no time to adjust... :hide: I didn't even thing of it.

this time round I'm hoping for better results...

I've been wrenching on this car now for over 5 years, after awhile you start getting more and more comfortable doing different things to it :lol:

even if you're not really sure what is the best/easiest way to do certain mods. Plus it helps if you've got people who have done what you're about to attempt ;)

Anywho, buy car port and set up space heater. That's what I'm working on. :) need more spaceheaters though. Last round of cold weather maintenance was COLD!!!! Trying to keep temps in the engine bay at or above I think it was 60 degrees with it windy and 40 degrees outside. :unamused:

Friday is going to be a long day... Putting the stock center diff back in and finishing up the rest of the install. As for right now I'm just putting on my old map since this is the same setup I had two years ago :palm:

ya I guess it's not really a step back since I didn't pay out any $$ to go back to this setup, just traded parts... Only reason why I called it a step back is because this is prettymuch my old setup from 2 years ago...

The difference in spool between a twin scroll vf and a single scroll is probably pretty minimal. I'd bet it doesn't feel much different driving around other than the UEL header sound.

Nah I thought about it and I didn't want there to be another reason why my car want ready... It's all button'd up, small exhaust leak at the catback and a rattle but no leaks and no cel anymore. The wire for the boost solenoid was pulled out of the harness. Now fixes and took for a beat. So now all feels good :devil:

I've got the wideband sensor in place of the rear O2 since its tuned out anyways, NO CEL :D

Ran 3 times and my best was 15.0 @ 104 :rofl: no traction in first second or third. NO ONE was getting traction today. I tried to peddle it but fail'd at every attempt!

This is the standard equipment turbocharger used on the JDM V8-V9 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. The VF37 is a twin-scroll turbocharger that utilizes a thrust bearing design and a P25 exhaust housing. It is essentially a fast spooling VF30.
Expect to achieve full boost with the proper mods and a quality tune between 2800-3300rpms. 2002-2005 WRX owners will need fuel upgrades for this turbocharger and proper engine management is highly recommended for all vehicles.
