well not totally, I will buy a subi again soon, but for right now if the payments are in the range that I want i'm picking up a 2003 jetta GLS from Exeter Subaru with 45k miles. I need better gas milage then I was getting. It has a turbo But if i stay off the boost it wont be bad:)
don't hate me~flower~ I still want a subi, but I screwed myself with the car now and the loan I have.
just thought I would let you know incase any of you wanted to know.

No worries. We all need gas sippers at this point. I have only driven my Subie twice in the last two weeks. Gas down the street from me is 3.11 a gallon.
I don't like driving a crap box Sentra very much but 39mpg is no joke.

The jetta i was lookin at was slighty modified too, lowered, bov fed back into the intake, not sure if he did anything with the EM though, tint all around.
eh oh well, i always buy another one later on.

tdiclub.com could be your friend here... lots of goodies in the classifieds if you're willing to travel a little. dieselgeek.com has some nice bits as well.

That would be one really realllllllllllly cool car. A built VW with a diesel. That would be cool to see.

I hear those TDI's have some really good low end torque. 177lbs-ft@1800-2400 rpms.

It's not uncommon to see ~150hp and over 300lb/ft on a near stock engine. A strong clutch is the most costly upgrade needed there.
