View Full Version : Creaky clutch pedal?

Anyone else have a creaking sound coming form the clutch pedal area? I regressed the return spring and WD the linkage.

i have a cable clutch which is different from yours, but i have always had the creaking sound as far i can remmber.

The weird thing about is that it only does it like the inch travel.

stock clutch? does it do it when its warm out?

A lil silicone and you're all set ;)

Most dealerships should do it for free with an oilchange

It does regurdless of the weather It sounds like it is just out of lube. I should take it apart and regrease the piovt point.

Yeah I have this a little bit in my Legacy. It's not super loud though, so I didn't bother to do anything about it.

Put some lube on the slave cylinder where it pushes on the fork coming out of the tranny. Thats where mine squeeks from. Little rubber dust cover dries out and causes the noise. It's right under the intercooler if you have a turbo model.

Yeah, that. Worked great for me. Use the high temp white grease, there's a fair bit of heat in that area.

Ya, subies like to dry out and creak in the winter months, especially if you see a lot of salt. My entire car is covered in salt right now. Not fun. Creaking like a *****!
