Actually need to locate a decent transmission that will fit in a 04 Baja. I believe its a manual trans. The junkers say they cant find one close by.

Any of you guys that work at Subi know which years and model trans will work?

TIA.

Thanks!

I'm the one with the Baja. All along thought it was the center diff. Supposedly it's one of the few Subie trannys that are all one unit with the center diff. Odd. Still awaiting a call from the shop that has my scoobytruck.

Well, I got the transmission replaced with a low mileage replacement tranny from a local reputable shop in Derry. Everything works great, no real noises.

One thing concerns me though. After being on the highway at 65-70mph for 15 miles or so, I get off at my exit. About 5 minutes later I smell an odor that smells like burnign rubber. It goes away a few minutes later. Doesn't do it any other time. Odd.

Thoughts?

The viscous coupler or the diff wouldn't make that smell, would it?

I second that! I need to save that number into my phone. Any more info on them? Do they have a site or name or another other means of finding/contacting them? I need a TON of specific parts.

they also have an 04 H6 with the parts I need to get my 05 EZ30R to run. Not sure if I want to spend the dough they want to charge but it's hard to find the parts.
