Per Schroeder's Saab 99 rally project... I thought "why is it parked in front of a cheap motel?" Turns out that's the main GRM office. Funny, semi-crappy little place, yet one of the best magazines available to the general public. From Per:

"Yea, when I first started working here (7.5 years ago), we were in a 1000sqft. house that was converted into a little office. Then we moved into 2 office condos totalling 1400ish square feet. Now we're in a 2500 square foot office that has very little storage room left, we've got a cargo container behind it (called "the train" ) where we store back issues and other crap. I parked on the grass because I had to, we don't have enough parking spots for our employees.

We've got 12 full timers here, putting out 14 mags a year (8 GRM, 6 CMS)

Primedia we are not."

Check out the forums at www.grassrootsmotorsports.com (http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com) if you haven't already; great group over there.

Primedia we are not.
And thank God for that. GRM is the only US car mag I subscribe to. The writing has been a little spotty lately, but they're still so much better than the big guys.

Big fan of Sports Car International (http://www.sci-mag.com/) too.
