The M was sick when I got it... and by sick I mean like flu sick... My list of issues:
<>Airbag light is on
<>Horn doesn't work (airbag related I think)
<>ABS light is on
<>Trac Control is off (ABS related)
<>speedometer isn't working (but OBDII picks up speed so its some wire in the dash)
<>rear springs need replacement (have H&R sports just haven't put them on yet)
<>rear tires need replacement
<>all rims need refinishing and balancing (18" Staggered Hamann Motorsport PG1 Rims... SICK!... quoted $300/rim)
<>moonroof won't close (I have it taped because I live in VT and I can do that to an M)
<>needs new interior... was waterlogged when I got it... nice layer of mold all over it.
<>misfire on cylinder 6, could be a coil, haven't tested it... when its warm its fine
<>upper radiator hose will randomly pop off.... missing some of the little nubby things on the fitting on the radiator itself... where the hose gets clamped to... aka new radiator (looking for an aftermarket and all aluminum for better cooling)
<>clutch for the fan
<>possibly the heatercore (pumps out heat but sometimes I can smell coolant... might be from the hose just popping off too though)
lets see what else..... hmmmmm
When I got it I replaced the front springs, tires, waterpump, thermostat, thermostat housing, oil, sparkplugs, airfilter, and I hand cleaned the interior to DEATH... I also pulled a mouse nest about the size of a basketball out of the heater fan.

But for lunch we should do a BBQ. I am sure we can bum one of the vtc bbq's if mike asks nicely... Or if not i am sure someones got a small charcoal grill or something they can bring along.
Then everyone can go "I can has cheezeburger"

give a heads up..
We won't be able to do the App Gap run like i had for a idea.
Me and Subyfreak Mike decided the road is way too bad with pot holes you could lose a car in and frost heaves big enough that you could recreate ken blocks record jump if you wanted to.
So if you still wanted to do a cruise up north we would have to find a alternative route. Such as go back down to rutland and then cross over to RT7 like that.. or just take 89 to exit 16 (colchester)

Jannetty Racing in CT. They do SCT dyno tuning on SRT-4's. It'll be a hell of a lot better than the canned email tune I'm running right now. I'm going to have them try to hit 425WHP or thereabouts.

if vtc doesn't work out... and it might not as i know mikes very busy.. the teachers won't let up on him with the home work stuff.
If at all possiable maybe can set something up where justin can talk to the guy who runs vtc and get permission from the man himself *shrug* just a idea
as for another place near by... Not that is that big. ya got a park and ride but it always in use and i don't think is anywhere near as big enough for what you want even if it was clear.
Best option i can think of is maybe Berlin Mall parking lot like park in the back...
Or Diamond Run Mall in Rutland in the back or something *shrug*
thats the kinda downer about vermont.. There arent many places to hold super sized car meets without cluttering parking lots and such :unamused:

There is one in Essex with about 10 parking spaces and one in Williston with maybe 40 spaces... :(

biggest bond auto in central vermont is near barre. They got a alright size parking lot. But if your looking for a big turnout i wouldn't suggest it as it would just clog up their whole parking lot and leave no room for customers.

Diamond run mall lot would be big enough but i am sure they want insurance too.
Infact any place on the size you want most likely is gonna ask for insurance unless its something like VTC where you'll be under the close watch eye of one of its students which is also a volunteer fireman.
Not quite central vermont area but another suggestion which also mike if he can find some free time to help out with is Bristol's highschool lot. Which is pretty big and they seem to not mind stuff like this going on. But bristols along RT7 which is more western vermont then anything. Your just hop skip and jump from NY state.
But once again this involve mike. Other then that i am fresh out of ideas.
I'd punt him but he's so stressed out from all the excess amount of homework his school gives him that its almost useless lol

What about a Walmart somewhere? I'm pretty sure the cops wouldn't care as long as nobody was making a ruckus. Off the top of my head, Williston has a pretty big Walmart parking lot, and Williston itself has lots of places to eat/shop/hang out. Plus Burlington is 10 minutes away.

well i would have suggested williston/burlington/essex/colchester/winnoski from the begining. Only problem is thats not central vermont. And for someone like even yourself its alot more driving to do to get to then somewhere like Randolph center. Wanna try to make this thing as central as possiable so we can get the most out of it.
So we can get those people from burlington... those people from saint johnsbury those people from barre those people brattleboro those people from bennington and people from rutland. Why stop there? How about Claremont, Keene, Manchester, Concord area new hampshire. maybe some from New york or mass hell even some from canada if you know people to get ahold of. All to a point where they don't have to drive any more then they have to.
Wanna make this the biggest it possiably can be.
The only thing bennificial to it being in the north west region of vermont is if we were actually going with the idea i had of doing the colchester bar/grill with all the rally stuff :D

lol why can't this be later!
could call ahead and raid the crap out of A&W in middlebury vermont.
White River would be cool but question is.... Where.
Where is there a place where we can "legally" do this. Cause your lots most likely are gonna ask for insurance.. insurance i am sure justin doesn't have.
I mean i can come up with a million parking lots we can do but if they are all turning him down for that reason then no bother....
Rutland Area:
Diamond Run Mall, the shopping plaza in rutland with Dicks Sporting Goods and Super Hanafords, the shopping plaza in rutland with walmart and the movie theater and price chopper and few other places, one spot that i think is still out of buisness in the area which might work... Is where weathervane was in rutland. They closed the building and i don't think anything has gone in yet, also you got where home depot and big lots is, Also you got where CVS pharmacy and a few other shops is. and i think thats it for rutland.
In the location where we had in mind (vtc) the only place is the local Shaws in randolph which does have room but *shrug*
Barre:
the plaza with Bond Auto and pizza hutt, Berlin Mall, the plaza with Price Chopper (and where ames use to be), the plaza with Shaws and staples, the plaza with Riteaid, and thats pretty much it
the only place i can think of in white river is where they held the After FX show which is that plaza with the strip bar and the bowling alley
Now if you said west leb area instead despite being in nh.
You got the plaza with walmart and borders and price chopper, the plaza with k-mart and Newbury Comics and various other places, BJ's, the plaza right by Staples, could park in the back of Home Depot, the plaza with Kohls and game stop and jc penny, the plaza by KFC/tacobell.
Actually theres even a spot I bet you could actually get your hands on justin if you asked. The lil parking lot for bus parking thats right behind pizza hutt there. Bus's almost NEVER EVER park back there any more since mcdonalds has such a big ass parking lot. So it never gets used at all.
and theres a great place to eat (atleast to me that is) right there if you guys didn't wanna go to colchester to check out the bar/grill with pastrana's car in it... Weathervane!!! Best damn seafood you'll ever have. (and makes best damn chicken tenders you'll ever have... and fries too!)
I mean theres all kinds of options.. its just what would like to try

Dont most ski resorts close like pretty early? Wonder if they would be willing to let some of us met there. the parking lots are huge and the drive up the mountains is usually prime. assuming no snow or ice.

They have hill climbs every year, but that's not until late in the season, and the snow usually isn't gone from the mountains until around June. The only problem with having a meet at the mountains so early is a lot of the parking lots are dirt, and during the melt become nothing but mud.
It might still happen though, I'm checking with Okemo.

A&W is kinda expensive.. not rediculous... but well worth it. (best a&w of them all since its not exactly owned by the franchise so meaning the owners can tweak the food so it tastes better and such vs franchise owned A&W's)
the only problem though is A&W doesn't have squat for parking unless ya take over the whole place for a time frame.
Trust me ask me subyfreak mike or subychick melanie they were there... Trying to park all those cars.. kinda chaotic lol
The question is... What do you want out of this meet
do you want a big car meet where we can all just hang out bs and all that? and on top of that do you wanna do a lunch or dinner. and/or on top of that is there any attractions or sites you wanna see..
Like for instance what me and subyfreak mike use to do is hold a gap cruise up and over a mountain range. very scenic.. we started and meet up at a parking lot (usually the one in bristol by the highschool) took about a hour or so to do depending on how you drive with stops at the top of the first mountain so you could let the cars cool off and look out at the beautiful mountain ranges. then half way through the trip stop at a scenic site (your choice of 2 beautiful waterfalls kinda going into the woods a lil.) so you could let the brakes cool down and check some beautiful sites out. we would then finish the gap run at A&W to grab a kinda early dinner.
not that i am suggesting we should do this but just to give you a idea of what we can do to make the most out of it.
