~basketball~anyone here a C's fan? if so, what's your take on the draft coming up in a few days? i'm in the gotta take Oden category, and otherwise trade the pick away.

Celtics need to clean house.

We were in the Conference finals that 01-02 season. We were 1 great player away from being a championship team. Then Danny Ainge took over and turned us into the clippers. I blame Ainge for everything. But the past is behind us and we can only look forward. I think if we get the #1 pick I would have to go with obviously Oden but Durant is a strong second. Either one would make us better. I see us trading Wally and either Jefferson or Green in a package deal to bring a solid Veteran to compliment Pierce and either Oden or Durant. Once a healthy Tony Allen comes back I think we will make the playoffs next year.

I could go on and on with trade scenarios. I would like us to try and deal Pierce to a better team so he gets a chance to win a championship before he retires and I do not want to trade Jefferson. i think he will make the all star team next year. He deff has the post moves of any of the big man all stars in the leauge. Gerald Green hasn't impressed me. He can shoot but he is way too hestitant. He always passed up wide open 3s and drove the lane and got stuffed. I think if Gerald got his confidence he could be as good as a healthy tracy mcgrady.

On the whole who to pick, Oden or Durant. I think Durant will no doubt be a star in the leauge. Where as Oden could suck. Look at Olawakandi..number 1 pick and he sucks! I think Durant will put any team on the map right away and I think Oden will too if he goes to the right team.

We should have traded for Iverson... I would have traded Gomes, Green, Telfair, and Wally for Iverson and Philly was all set to do the deal but stupid Ainge didn't want to trade Green. Imagine if we had Pierce, Iverson, and throw in a Durant or Oden to that mix? We would be l33t next season. But nonetheless I think we will make the playoffs next season. The injuries killed us this year and wally is a pussy. Never should have traded Ricky D for him. Anyways. Hopefully Ainge will grow some chest hair and make a decent trade this summer and maybe Gerald will grow some balls and step it up this season if he doesn't get traded. ahhhh I can't wait till the Celtics actually get good again like the Bird era. Bring basketball back to beantown. I love the sox and pats but i'm ready for the c's to bring it back.

i cannot believe you compared oden to kandy-man. Oden is way more promising. he's an instantaneous starter (assuming doc doesn't continue to be a douche). we are so overloaded with swingmen that any team other than the C's you be nuts not to go with Durant. but durant comes along once every 4 years maybe. Oden, once in 10. we don't need anymore 2-3's. We are overloaded.

i just really hope that allen stays in boston for quite a few years. if he just plays out his contract and bails... this might turn into a really bad trade. it will be good to have another shooter/scorer on our team

i definitely like the celtics, they're my hometown team, but the NBA nowadays is one sport where i always would rather watch college ball instead, the players are just so much more passionate and into it for the game, the NBA isn't even really basketball as the way the game and rules are defined

on 2/13 for the Knicks game. Not sure how many tickets they have or if they sell-out fast but I can get 2 balcony tickets for $20 a piece. Which isn't too bad. I have nothing to do that night and I wake up at about 3pm from sleeping because of a night shift the night before. Figured I give them a call when I woke up to see how many/if any tickets are available. If I go is anyone interested in tagging along?
