I want to do a stage 2 suspension setup for my 08 wrx. Cobb has one available but I'm not sure if the 3 peice rear sway is that reliable. I like cobb kit besides the rear sway but I dont want to mix and match the kit especialy if it is designed to work together :dunno:

you can mix and match at will. I dont care for Rallitek because of their business practices

How about whiteline??? Some people have said they're pretty noisy but a great product. Is the clunking an endlink issue???

I suggest reading as many reviews as possible, and finding what best suits you. I have learned through trial and error that I dislike Perrins Sway Bars, but others have had luck. I just installed a Whiteline 22-24-26mm Rear Sway today, mated with Kartboy endlinks, and am loving it so far. The only downside I have heard about whiteline is that they corrode quickly. But, any bar with sub par paint will do that.
FYI: Any sway bar is going to clunk or creak when its not lubed properly or often enough.

I got RalliTEK front and rear swaybars and endlinks for about $300 shipped. They are great quality too. Whiteline makes a slightly thicker bar though if your tracking. The RalliTEK ones are perfect for street. THe endlinks have a 5 year warranty too...no one else comes close...Here is a link to the buy thread I got them from:

I can't say anything bad about RalliTEK ... I have had nothing but good experiences with them.

In regards to their 'business practices'.
As mentioned, there have been fitment issues with Perrin swaybars on the 08s.
Whiteline is an excellent option. Their endlinks are good too albeit noisy. People seem to love the whiteline parts.
Also check out Progress, they make some great products too, slightly cheaper than the Whiteline setup. I realize no vendors on here sell Progress but Crucial Racing is a distributor for them, give them a PM on NASIOC or WRXF if you want more info.

I have been taking Whiteline into consideration and never heard anyone being upset. The only thing that I see is that instead of having a welded flange for the bushing like rallitek, perrin, progress, and cobb, whiteline uses a clamp.

Not sure what you mean. The Whiteline swaybars come with the bar and bushing.
The RalliTEK ones come with bar, bushing, new saddle bracket, (rears also come with backer) and locking collars to stop any lateral movement. The whitelines re-use the factory saddle bracket.

I think what im referring to are the locking collars. Which are better the welded vs. clamped or doesnt it make a difference????

It doesn't really make a difference. The bolted collars work just fine. Just make sure the bar is even laterally and on the ground before tightening up the collars. You wouldn't think it would make a difference but I put the collars on with the car off the ground and it didn't seem to like it. Once it was on the ground I adjusted them and re-tightened and they are working great.

Do you have whiteline bars?? I was talking to one of my friends that is a subaru mechanic and I asked him what size bars I should do. I asked him if I should do 22mm front and rear and he said the bigger the better:p. So does a 25mm front and 22mm rear sound like a good ideah or stick with what I originally had in mind??? :dunno:

Your Subaru mechanic doesn't know what he's talking about. Too stiff of a roll bar will have negative effects. I haven't run any numbers yet but 25mm in the front doesn't sound right for the sloppy front dampers.

I plan on getting coilovers next year. Would the bigger sways have negative effects on the coilovers also??? Do you know if the whitelines are hollow or solid I cant find that info anywhere?!?!?!

subaruwrxparts.com :) and they are a vendor here!
Personally I get my whiteline bits from TurninConcepts.com (great vendor) but subaruwrxparts.com is local so you might as well give them a shout.
Nick will help you out.
If you plan on getting coilovers with any kind of decent damper you wont need extremely stiff swaybars. The coilovers will eliminate most of the unwanted body roll on their own. You can get great results with coilovers and the OEM sways or you can run slightly less damping on the coilovers and a slightly stiffer aftermarket swaybar. While you can simulate this with software and calculations driving feel is the easiest way to determine what swaybar stiffness to go with.

Next year I was thinking about getting the Tein ss coilovers or if I got the cash prolly the winding masters. For now I'm just gonna be getting springs. I know a lot of ppl have been blowing struts with the cobb springs but what the hey, if I blow my shocks thats all the more reason to get coilovers
