Im about to hit order on everything I "think" I'll need to do my bodykit install and paint the whole car, here is my list, let me know if you think Im missing something:
Tack Cloths
Wax and Grease Remover
80, 320, 1200, 2000 grit paper (6" rolls and 9 x 11)
Fiberglass Panel adhesive (for side skirts and rear spats)
Bondo and hardener w/ applicators
Glazing Putty
Primer (1 gal)
Primer Sealer
BaseCoat (1 gal)
Clearcoat (1 Gal)
Activators/Reducers/Catalysts needed
Masking Tape and Film
Already have:
gloves, eye protection, guns, all the tools.

do u have that chemical you will need to remove all the oils off the car before you paint that way you dont get fish eyes in it. the body shop i used to work at used laquer thinner

the grease and wax remover? On the final coat of clear you can add more reducer to thin out the clear and get a smoother coat, but I plan on wet sanding the piss out of it with the 2000 grit then using the polishing pad.

lol my bad i didnt see that. ya that sounds like a good idea. good luck i hope it comes out great. dont forget to post pics of it :D

Im going to be a picture whore, Ill make a journal. Sad thing is this is going to be a multi-year project. Year 1 is Outside, Year 2 is Audio/Interior, Year 3 will be the swap assuming I've collected everything.

I got the box of tack cloths......are those alot different?

take a little longer, but they are cheaper than the sontarras

im ok with taking longer...that just means more beers and more time away from the wife

anyone who wants to sand/grind/unbolt and work for beer is welcome to help out when we get going.......a good job is 90% prep so we will be doing alot of it.

Im not the one painting but they said they had one already.....I'll leave the spraying to someone with some spray time.
