This is the WRX 02-03 3 piece front lip (replica) that I'm putting on the car...

Taking the front bumper off:
-pull the headlights and grille
-take the 3-5 clips out of the top of the bumper skin
-open the fender well and pull the clip on the inside of the fender on either side (yes, it does suck and its tight to get in there).
-take the 2 clips out of the bottom of the bumper (that's if you have the air diversion to the breaks)
-remove the 2 bolts from the bottom of the metal bar
-remove the bolt just below the license plate.
The bumper should just pop off lights and all, I removed a couple of them so I didn't have to have someone help me hold the bumper while I unplugged them.

Drill 2 holes(I think it was 1/4 inch) for the bolts attached to the lip to pass through and fasten the front to the bumper (finger tight till the rest of the holes and bolts are in place so you can still move the lip a little).

Then drilled holes for the metal brackets under the bumper and secured them in place with 1/4 inch bolts with washers (stainless steel)

Next mark the center of the bumper and drill the center hole for the lip and loosely put the bolt in (same bolts as above w/ washers). Then make sure the lip is even and drill the remaining holes and put the bolts/washers on.

Last just reattach the bumper!

Did you have them painted or did they come like that?

I went to auto paint plus and had them match my paint code and rattle canned them actually. They are actually just the normal fiberglass coating (the white gel stuff) when you get them, so I scuffed them up a little and sprayed them... quick and easy :)

How did the rattle can match up close? I tried NAPA paint match once, and they did a horrible job. Where's auto paint plus? APP is in Middlebury, and the paint almost matches exactly if you give them the code for the paint... its hard to tell it's so close. You could also get paint from www.paintscratch.com too, and they do a good job also.

Will do, this is as far as I got today... I'll see how far I get tomorrow since I'm going to do some rust repair (notice the bumper) as I go along so its one last thing I have to do.

Not much really... runs the same, but it's supposed to help with the spark... but I can definitely tell it works cause I don't get shocked from my car anymore :P
