EFI Logics Update! 7/30/09

Just some fun stuff that came through the shop in the last few days...

First off, Dave brought his turbocharged '03 Cobra in to get a tune with race gas at 25psi this past week. He ended up splitting the welds on the intake manifold, so the car would not make more than 19psi of boost. On pump gas, the car made 640hp and 580ft/lbs of torque with 18psi.

Then we had John come in with his '07 Volvo S60R. He had been going back and forth with Rica in the UK, as he was having issues making peak boost. We put his car on the dyno to try and help them figure out what was going on. He was able to get a log from the dyno runs and hopefully he'll be back once the tune has been corrected for some more pulls! For now, he ended up making 273hp and 282ft/lb of torque.

We had Devin's '07 WRX come in a few weeks ago for a tune. Chris noticed his ringland was bad and ended that day on a bad note. It was still ok to drive on for a bit, so he took the car home and brought it back a couple of weeks ago so we could slip in some forged pistons, check the block, install a Perrin FMIC, and finally give it a well deserved tune. Devin has an 18G on the WRX and it made 345hp and 364ft/lbs of torque- not bad!
