and i bet randy has a picture some where of himself as a young lad sitting on a monster truck tire or sitting in the wheel :D

When i was a kid these things along with Tractor pulls and mud bugs/mud racing were all the rage and i loved the trucks
Those days they didn't really race or jump high/far.. They were built to look nice.. Crush cars and do a few other things and thats about it. And we as people were amazed by this... a average everyday truck being lifted and such and supporting 66inch tires and capiable of climbing on cars
or in bigfoot 5's case
