Just got the car done at TDC earlier this morning. I'd like to thanks Mike for helping me with the wastegate actuator, and then the tune was awesome. I'll post pics of the graph when I get it in. We weren't really going for numbers, as I told him I was more worried about having a reliable daily driver, with some go... DUH.
Mike is an awesome guy, had me jump in the car during the tune to see what he was doing and told me what he was doing throughout it. Any questions I had he awnsered.
Thanks again!

I had an issue with my wastegate actuator too. I kept throwing CEL's....
Mike tuned it out and now i'm running strong!
How's the tune treating you so far?

i like it so far, haven't really beat on it too much. i dont have the money to spend on gas, but when we took it out for the road tune, it was def a lot of fun. although i think my speedo is broken as it just went from 30 straight to 100

Strange everyone here seems so in love with TDC? You guys really need to look into open source programing. I won't mention names. I am sure you can GOOGLE some. And sadly a lot of nay sayer well they have some legitimate gripes. Like a certain someone who I know whom TDC scratched up a freshly painted rear bumper skin on his STI because of the for the lack of a better word, piece of sh it, they used to mount the WB o2 sensor on to shove in the tailpipe. After he said something he was told to fu ck off in not so many words.

Crap happens to everyone, your opinion is respected. They havent given us any problems. My tune is great. I agree, open source tuning is great. But its not everyones bag, and you should really support your local shops.

seems like i'm not the only one that has had a ****** up with a local shop who then tried to pass the blame/not seem to care about doing anything about it

Pretty sure this is a thread about Dans tune, if you want to complain about someone, go to a review thread.

there are plenty of poeple that have had good tunes from tdc, and bad tunes, and good tunes with open source.. and bad tunes.
welcome to the world where no 1 solution is perfect. thats why there is competition...

like eugene said, everyone has their good and bad. I know a few people that got stuff broken by other shops as well. I am suprised that mike hasn't responed over time. i have invited him over to a meet tho, so if he comes, you could talk to him there. or stop by the shop and talk to him in person.

personally, i think that all my gripes with TDC left with john. i liked john as a person. he was a cool guy to talk to, but i dont think he knew much about tuning. i know of several evos and sti's that he destroyed.
and although ive been told that john trained this new guy, i think he also did his own research on tuning by himself because he seems to be doing a much better job. i wouldnt mind getting a tune from him if it wasnt for the fact that i have an exclusive tuner through my friends shop. :D

if jon doesnt know much about tuning, you might want to let harmon motor know right away, since he is tuning cars that are far more powerful and expensive than our subarus

Every motor has its limits. They all tune very alike. All you really need to do it tell the tuner how you want it. Do you want a WOT tune? Do you want a partial throttle tune? How aggressive do you want it. As a rule you know what the motor will handle but you also need to know the user.
