Feeler...possible future SCS logo?

Hey all!

I've had some extra time on my hands and decided to mess around with creating a seacoastsubarus.com logo for fun. Although I've had the idea for a while, I've never taken the time to actually create it. It took a lot more time than I had expected...especially for something that looks so simple.

I'm sure you all know where the design idea came from. On second thought, do you all think there would be any copyright/trademark issues with reproducing a SCS logo such as this?

Anyways...figured I'd share my work with you all. Let me know what you think!

looks good. we are looking for a logo that will eventually go on our decals. i dont know if the one we created for our shirts is too complicated for decals

however.. i will not be putting pink on my car. silver ftw

Def like it, but the only thing I would change is the C either cut the following s so its one straight line throughout, or add in a line to complete it like the 2nd s.

I like it a lot. I am working on creating our merchandising section. Anyone else with ideas, post them in here, and Ill create a poll in the new section once we open it. From there, ill start getting some stickers made, shirts, etc. I think this idea would look great screen printed. We can have more than one shirt design. I was also thinking we could even take pics of our cars and get them turned into screen print and put them on the back. Anyways, PM me with ideas for anything.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I did have a lot of trouble getting the S, C & S to flow well. Overall, I'm happy with it. I might take the time and try and tweak the design a bit. We'll see...

BTW, it's not pink, it's Cherry Blossom Red. ~rotfl~

Not sure how this would look^, but I think it would be cool to have names embroidered on the shirt somewhere.

Ya, im just shooting ideas out there for people to read and see if they like. Once I have a few concrete ideas down, a poll will go up ,and Ill get the ball rolling.

This is certainly something we could do for a business card. Same front with this logo and unique backs with car pics and any other info.

Working on all that today, getting shirt prices, blue shirts with white scs logo and black shirts with the "pink" scs logo. Also I am going to look into both colors for the stickers. I should have prices by the end of the day.

need to obtain vector file from Russ for that. .PDF or .AI.

For the stickers or for the shirts? Or for both. I have one as a .gif and one as a .jpg.

for both, the resolution on the gif / jpg wont be good enough

it has to be .AI or .PDF for printer to accept it. At least your normal printer will only accept those. So .GIF and .JPG is a no go.

Wow. I wasn't expecting this much of a response. I'm still really partial to my original design, since I put a few days work into it. (it's gone through a lot of different variations). But...I'm willing to do a little tweaking to it if that's what the majority decides.

Below are two files that should be used for printing decals and other print products:

1. logo_outlines.ai (/etc/logo/logo_outlines.ai)
2. logo_outlines.pdf (/etc/logo/logo_outlines.pdf)

* either file is accepted by major printer.
