The next matchstick films should be pretty good, want to know how I know that it will? Watch this and decide for yourself: http://www.mspfilms.com/theatre/

I know it's the middle of summer but this exact time is when I get pumped for skiing. Mainly because I do a lot of Mountain Biking so during this time of year (less rain then spring) I'm able to get up to the mountains that I frequent during the winter.

Discuss...

EDIT: oh ya, they'll be showing the flick in Portsmouth too at the Frank Jones Center on Route 1 Bypass. http://www.mspfilms.com/node/250

I also go to the Warren Miller flicks. They usually have a new one every season. Probably just haven't announced it yet.

Skiing is for girls.

Snowboarding FTMFW!!!!

TrickyDik

I snowboard too. However, I find skiing much more enjoyable and I would wager to say that no boarder on this forum could match me while I'm on my skis. Twin-tip skis FTW!

But it's all gravy in my book.

Word to your motha!

I'm psyched. I'll be planning a couple ski outings for those who dare to go big.

I might be heading out to Whistler this November too! It may but me in debt with credit card companies but as god as my witness I could care less!

Well I knew what Telluride was actually lol, I guess I need to be clearer.

What is this Telluride thing out here?

Its the telluride film festivale. New names to the ski movie industry are premiering their films at a festivale in telluride and one of the tour dates is the music hall in portsmouth.
Last year I missed it and they had extreme kayaking with some insane waterfall drops.
http://www.themusichall.org/calendar/event_listing.asp?CategoryID=10

Well they just came out with the list of the films they are showing now and I may go see one or two. thought they were more ski related.

Sooo... I may just bag that idea and stick with MSP and warren miller.
They really need more snowboarders though. I think.
My old boss called them gays on trays, but I quit that job.

*sigh... thinking of the first snowstorm for the season..maybe some winter boating...few more months*

The movie is getting closer! :) Whos going? I still need to get a ticket.

Anybody buying a mountain pass to anywhere?

TrickyDik
10-05-2007, 12:18 PM
I'm running up to Fire on the Mountain next week (monday-wednesday) sometime to grab a ticket for me and Jess. 9pm show for me since I won't be home until close to 7pm from work that day.

Can't wait for this film. I'm so happy that is indoors this time around. It was a mess last year having it under the tent outside Redhook on a rainy day with just plywood that didn't even cover the whole ground. Mud FTMFL!

I'm thinking about getting the Breakout pass... its just like the Threedom in the fact that you get three mountains, but its only available to college students. Its only $229 for Cannon, Sunapee, and Gunstock.

Now I just need to figure out how to prove that I'm in college still... because I'm not anymore and there is no way I'm gonna shell out 500 bucks for a damn pass.

Those are some serious freeride skis... I heard armada got bought out by one of the bigger ski companies and the construction methods are top notch.

Grassy you throw down or (like me) you did before you acquired knee problems.

Just a reminder: Warren Millers new ski movie is playing the two nights before Thanksgiving. Putnams in Portsmouth is selling tickets, it will be shown at Frank Jones Center on Route 1 Bypass.

I won't be going because I'll be in Atlanta visiting my family for that week.

Just saw them selling tickets when I picked up my new Skis and Bindings over at Putnams.

Would love to go but I just bought a new HH jacket and pants, plus i'm pinching my money now so I can end up in Park City in 2 to 3 weeks~ok~

I may only have a job as a snow clearer but I get a free pass out of it.
You gotta pay to ride somehow.

I want to go out west. Dan you'll have to let me come visit for a long weekend and sleep on your couch and hook me up with some tickets while im there. I'll pay for my own flight!
