View Full Version : New to Subaru's from Farmington

Just wanted to post up and say hi, Comanche has been buggin me to get on this forum after I bought my new 09 WRX. I'm very new to subarus, coming from the DSM world though when I needed a new daily another turbo AWD car appealed to me. Since the new ralli-arts have that stupid SST tranny, and I didn't want to buy a used and abused evo (I needed a reliable car) I decided to try a Subby. I've never had any Japanese cars besides Mitsu's and Toyota's And so far I love the thing. I don't plan on doing to much to it but something will have to be done about the slop in the suspension so I'm sure like many people I'm waiting patiently for the RCE springs and shocks :D.

If your the guy I'm thinking of you where driving an '08 hatch, right. Anyways the mod bug will probably hit me hard, it always does. I'm trying to refrain a little on this one though cause 1. it is my daily and 2. my GSX is in need of a built tranny (broke 2 stock tranny's this summer :unamused:). It sucks though, these things are expensive as tits to mod. I'm coming from DSM's and Shelby Dodge's, so I'm a little dizzy from sticker shock on what its gonna cost to make this thing fast.

Ahh, good old farm town. Were the boys will be boys and the sheep run scared :). Welcome. I grew up in farmington and now live in rochester. Were abouts are you from?
