Hello, just found out about this forum over at subaruforester.org. Been a Subaru enthusiast for a while, however I always wanted to find a group of like minded people. I bought my one and only Subaru last October. Got a 2007 Forester 2.5X with 70,000mi on the clock. Already put 25,000mi on it since. The best vehicle I have ever owned.
Don't have the money for modding or anything, though I did make an intake for it. Interested in going to some future meetings. Would appreciate it if anyone could help me around here as I'm not use to this forum.
Thank you!

Hey man! Welcome to the party! There are several people here that don't mod, and several people that DO, but don't have the money for it.

There's two ways of doing that. First is by becoming a donating member to the forum, then you get certain perks like avatar, bigger PM box and a signature. Second way is once you get over 100 posts you can has a different avatar!

Welcome. We can help with whatever you want. Not to mention a lot of DIY(Do It Yourself) mods that are cheap or even free!

Tom, you forgot about those that do have enough but only just barely and then decide to mod way more than they needed! Thusly leaving them in the "do but don't" catagory. :D

Welcome aboard guy, glad you decided to come over! Hopefully you will enjoy yourself. I'm thinking of a meet in a few weeks, a LOT closer to both you and I, hope that one is doable for you!

Thank you all. Will try to attend next meet if location and work schedule allow. I got the 30th and the 31st off. Very welcoming board.
BTW...
Was wondering if perhaps somebody could help diagnose a sound in my car. Have a muffled chattering sound that sounds like its comming from the back of the car. Only happens mainly when coasting. Hasn't goten any worse in the last 15,000mi of city drving. Maybe loose baffle in the exaust? Did have a post on subaruforester.org but couldn't figure it out. Doesn't sound like its getting worse.
Also, when you guys have a meet, what do you guys typically do? Forgive me please im kinda new to the scene.

We generally have many smaller meets where we meet up, eat some food, then chill in the parking lot afterwards, shootin the ****. Then, we have our HUGE super meets, which are essentially mini-WBM's, but the next one of those is in the spring.

Hmmm it may just be a loose exhaust heat shield. I took those off my because of that reason (and also for the weight reduction mod because we all know they weigh a ton...)
the next meet you are able to attend I'll give it a listen

I got me a decent set of all season tirs to replace, and I have a good dedicated snowtire (Firestone Winterforce) on order mounted on 16" steelies (so I can change over myself) comming Nov 15th form Tire Rack.
I would love to plan a "Subie winter road trip" type of deal this Jan when the crazyness dies down.

I agree with this - probably a rattle exterior to the exhaust.
