Not sure what you mean sir.Hey Chris you might want to look at your own posts of oil pump sizes...

More proof for you:

http://www.subydriver.com/oemoilpmp.html

This is that same pump that come stock on the 08 STi. It will fit all WRX and STi 2.5L EJ25 Motors. This is a 11mm pump the flows more volume then the standard pumps of the 04-07 STi perfect upgrade for when you are building the motor or changing the timing belt.

I was just hoping I got more light... I didn't really. :sadpanda: Sun goes down sooner and sooner...

My cylinder walls are still looking good I'm wondering if MAYBE I just get stock bore pistons and get stock bore 9:1 pistons. Then I can not worry as much about low end. That way I can choose later to get the twinscroll running or not. Cause since driving Mike's it's been inu head about wanting 9:1 or twinscroll header or both with cost getting in the way. If I supliments the boring out of my motor budgeting in place of different pistons... I'm liking this idea...

Seraphinwolf
12-17-2011, 11:20 AM
My responce to someone on RS25...
The lower end may be nice, but if you plan to actually make power, I'd stick with lower comp pistons and crank the boost up.

Put the Rota's back on today to put the Enkie's and StarSpecs in to storage. Talking with Mike some about his thoughts on an Invidia header I'm looking at to cut up after picking up cheap. He suggests a larger primary diameter but we'll see.

Invidia EL slip joint header and up pipe. Picking up this weekend. :) Then chop the end, add T4 flange, and add two EWG flanges.

yaya
12-21-2011, 02:21 PM
Why bother with 2 EWG flanges if it's not a twin scroll header?

Seraphinwolf
12-21-2011, 02:45 PM
Cause the way the EL runs on the Invidia all I have to do is chop then end of the up pipe and it's a twinscroll once the T4 flange is on. I'll get a pick up shortly.

yaya
12-21-2011, 02:57 PM
Was gonna say, it's a waste to run dual EWGs on a single scroll up pipe...

Seraphinwolf
12-21-2011, 04:09 PM
Yeah. I started hunting around and found the Invidia EL's are easier to find than the actual twinscrolls and since I need to change the charge flange anyways...

Debating trying to do a shorted piping sudo-vmount setup to use with the EJ and just redo to a large when I get the EZ built... Just worried about throttle responce. I picked this turbo for being matched to the 3.0L not a punny 2.5L.
So I'm gonna try getting some measurments down with the Mishimoto to see if I could try to get it to pivot. If I can't then there's no point in trying to make it fit.
Digging through here for ideas.

A SC and terbro doesn't seem like it would be that effective. The terbro boosh would go to the chargah and then chargah would slow the terbro air down..act like a wall.

98Wagoon
01-08-2012, 09:32 AM
Nooo silly. Sc's are forced in, terbo is forced out.. so you run the SC to the turbo and it spools the ever loving **** out of it for the low end for launchery, then the terbo gets all terbo'y for the high end. A good balanced system works flippin awesome. The second pic is one of the nicest, cleanest dual setups I've seen.

I guess if you just look past til when you decided to waste a ton of money getting a car driving early, which is completely pointless considering you have a running car, instead of investing it in the final goal and focusing on the original plan.

You have NOT spent enough time around me...

You haven't Hiprusher. The 2.5 would be more then enough power, easier to get running and maintain, and cost less. Gaddis doesn't run that game.

I'm pretty locked on the idea of redoing 2nd-6th in Spec B gears... Rallispec's "high speed gear" are just those ratios. Question is how much getting them would cost me. Having checked I to cost of a replacement WRX 5mt 3rd, that one gear cost $300... Oh the fearful though of 5 gears... The Rallispec's set cost $1325. One idea is find a Spec B trans. Trade gears and resell for Leggy guys or 08'+ Impreza guys wanting more aggressive gearing.

They are as real as any other clamp. Every companythat makes them have different names for them but they'll do the job and not cost over $125 PER clamp.

Since 07'.

And I have ordered. I need to get the exhaust done right now while things are slow enough at the shop cause I need Rick to take care if it. The intake piping I can do all the ore welding work myself. That way there's enough reason for the car to be dragged in rather than going in and out if the shop with it.

I found your problem. stop buying this crap. no need for the dash to be installed when the motor isn't in, plumbed, tuned and running. use that money to further that ****. you are constantly getting these parts that MAY be necessary in the future, but do nothing to forward the progress. I know it is hard to focus and not pick up the fun little parts, but you gotta try. otherwise you aren't going to realize this dream and will be stuck with a lot of little parts, but no money to put it together.

Advice when he isn't paying any attention to be able to rethink what he says.

Joe the bracket is a beam bracket. Which is needed to the wiring, steering column, and a few more things to be in place. I'm not worried about the dash board and not gonna even touch that till after it's running. As for the hose. I needed a line for the clutch since I didn't have one so again pay attention before opening your yap. I also still have my secondary motor in place for fabrication work while I build the primary.

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn281/seraphinwolf/Lilly%20AKA%20Project%20SixGun/5e297220.jpg
Also moved some of my parts at the shop into upper storage and actually together rather than different places. While I had the muffler section down I got to measuring and figuring how much of the spare tire well is being cut away. Oh and about 4" of the bumper will be trimmed to accommodate the outer exhaust tips.

My work note book is slowly getting filled up with diagrams and scrawling. I like to thoroughly map out this kinds stuff before I start actually cutting or making stuff. Plus it helps be to reference what I've already mapped out if I don't have the car or part right in front of me.

Spare tire wouldn't do much good anyways, but I don't plan to bring one anywhere. AAA card is all I need. If I get a flat or something I"ll probably have more to worry about than just putting a spare tire on the car. If I do take anything with me it'll just have to bounce around in the hatch.

Been around a month since my last update... Been kinda slacking on that. Not a **** ton going on, mostly planing work and measuring.
Flanges are gonna be in any day now. My fabricator decided to request an adjustment to how the flanges will be. One upping from 3/8" to full 1/2" and making a desgin change to the holes for better weld joint for the primaries to come off them. Boy will these things be heavy duty to handle the pressure and heat!
I do need to hunt down an 05-07' STi ebrake cause my 04' STi ebrake doesn't exactly work with my 07' Limited dash.
Been doing maintance on the daily driver and also prepping it for this season of autocross. And in between that and waiting I've been doing lay out and mapping with intake piping, marking up to cut out my upper and lower radiator supports, continuing to forget a few parts at the house, and doing lots of measuring for the cutting and such that will go with installing my GR8 fitment Q300.
Pics of a few to follow when I upload a few or when I remember to take them.

Tom you wanna give me the money for finishing by end of summer? Speaking of funds I found that I apparently have a second clutch master cylinder... anyone wanna buy?

Worked on the dash some today. Got the pieces cut out that were in the way and started digging through the dash pieces to make sure I"m not missing anything other than that stupid ebrake handle... Someone wanna trade and 05-07' STi handle for an 04'?
Anyways Dash... Pesky thingers in the way. CUT THEM OUT!!!

And much better than before. Still a little gap but I'll find something to fill it when the beams get merged.

The clearance issues I was working on last week with the radator and sorting out the angling of the radator and the front mount. Still need to get everything seated just right to see which way I'm going to route the piping.

At some point either when i was moving it out of the garage or something else the lower support got dented. It kept the radator from seating down all the way. Had to get under there and pry it down before finding where I want to cut the upper and lower supports.

There is some clearance problem at the moment from just needing to put those top bell housing bolts in. Haven't needed to till now but will need to be done for measuring and durring exhaust fabrication.
