The Sanford [Maine] Elks hosted an air & classic car show at the palatial Sanford Airport this past Sunday. The air show bits were quite good.. The car show bits were entertaining - a lot of the usual hot rods and muscle cars, which are plenty cool.. Then there was this..

..a mint 1983 Subaru GL convertible. 5-speed, 44k miles, totally clean. EA81 intact and shiny, spare tire possibly never touched. Even had the classic wire rims with the "S" in the middle. I haven't seen one of these in twenty years.

A local dealer in Sanford imports these to sell for off-road use. If I only had an excuse to buy one!!

I own a 1983 Subaru convertible gl (1 of 60 made). Currently needs custom-made top. Body in good condition. Definitely would be a show car with TLC. Currently the car is in a garage in Western Massachusetts but it needs a good home. Do you know people interested in restoring and/or collecting Subarus? Let me know via phone if you are interested: (413) 695-7209.
Hope to hear from you,
Caroline

That is so freaking sweet. I love the tire in the front. So cool.
