I did this on my car before Evoeater’s car. I did mine slightly different but this works better. I did this before and it only took me about 15 min to do. Take your time and check and make sure everything is right the first time.

Things you will need: 4 or 5 prong relay, 30a fuse by choice (not required but recommended), female connectors, wire connectors to splice into another wire, all of the COBB materials. And a piece of wire.

Warning: Now be careful when doing this if not hooked up properly it can back feed into you’re car wiring or COBB and create a headache and hurt the car. Do not hold me responsible for anything that happens you are doing this at you’re on risk. A little understanding of how relays work will help greatly. Any questions don’t be afraid to PM me and I will try to answer your questions the best I can. I like using fuses when ever possible but not mandatory, but highly recommended.

First thing you want to do is find a location for the COBB easily viewable. Find a way to run the wire out of sight as much as possible ( looks better). We chose to the right of the radio. We ran the cable through the shifter cover.

Next find where the wire can be hidden where the relay can be located and out of sight. Strip the USB Cable to expose the 4 wires inside ( there will be a metal casing around these 4 wires red black green and white). Next take the red wire and cut in half and take a female connector and attach to both sides.

Next find a key on accessory we used the lighter socket as it turns on with the key and off with the key. There should be one positive wire (red) and a ground (black) going to it. Take a wire and using a splicer attach to one of the wires going to the cig lighter. I used the black one. Next I took the fused wire and using a splicer attached to the other wire in this case red. I cut both wires equal length and attached female connectors to each wire.

Next is the tricky part. Look at the relay there should be a diagram on the top. It should also have some numbers on the top and the bottom these will correspond. When looking At the top you will notice the numbers and lines and random symbols. Look for the door open looking symbol the 2 wires connecting to it will have numbers these should go to the USB cable with female connectors, that is the internal switch. Now look at the box looking thing this is the thing that turns on the switch. Connect the wires coming from your key on accessory to this. This basically triggers the switch on when turned on with the key to allow the circuit to be closed and turning the COBB on. Now be careful when doing this if not hooked up properly it can back feed into you’re car wiring or COBB and create a headache and hurt the car. Do not hold me responsible for anything that happens you are doing this at you’re on risk. A little understanding of how relays work will help greatly. Now after hooking up the wires test it out before reassembly. Make sure the COBB if off with the key off then when you turn the car on with the key the COBB turns on. After everything is verified and working correctly, tape the wires up to prevent shorting out and make everything look neat. Route the wire and secure the relay with a zip tie. It also helps to relocate the DLC so it does not stick out and get in the way. Reinstall the cover over the shifter and you’re done.

i would make it a plug and go system not cutting or splicing required it would cost like atlest $20 plus shiping to do this... would anyone be interested in this? plug and play harness for your cobb to turn on and off?
