Different Auto-x for you

I meet some of you up at the NHIS auto-x, it was a fun day and I though I had fast time of the day for a while which would have been a first for me.

They run very different courses to the one at NHIS. The courses are very fast and flowing and in an Sti you will need to use 3rd gear, even wrx's will be bouncing off the limiter in 2nd for a few seconds if you don't shift. 2 minute runs that are about 1.5 miles or more.

The competition is also a bit tougher and some really fun vipers, z06 corvettes, miata's etc all with race tires.

I plan to be at the SVT one in a few weeks, maybe with some nice new rubber. 275/40/17 r-comps on 17x9 wheels ~bounce~.

Devens is great, but makes for a long day if you end up corner-working on the far end of the course. Unfortunately, I only ever ran a 1st-gen H Stock Escort GT there, not anything fun or prepared.

svt / sho is a bit different to most. 50 or 60 cars max, first car off about 9:30 or 10am, a few runs, lunch (an actual lunch break where people go out to eat), a few more runs, fun runs at the end. Last event we did 7 runs I think and were still finished by 4pm even with some timing problems and a 1 hour lunch break. You also get to drive to your work assignment which is nice.
