Just admit that the Yankees are playing good second half ball. It would be quite the accomplishment if they made the playoffs by at least taking the wild card after the shotty ass first half of the season.

you're right, now the season does begin and we're already still 8 +/- 1/2 game on the yanks.

the red sox have been without a key starter, their position players have been banged up and missing days, and they finally got tavarez out in the bp where he belongs, the gap is only going to get bigger from here

I admit that the Sox have played better ball this year than the Yankees, yes. I dont think that was ever in question. Just look at the records.

But why is everyone focusing on July? Im pretty sure the Sox and Yanks are both a part of the American League East and play the same teams the same number of times. More or less.
