Hey all,

I am working with a manufacturer for some Brenflash () cables for personal use at home between stock/tuned files. It would be as simple as installing a cd with software and a USB cable in your laptop and loading the supplied file from BT. There will also be an assortment of Tactrix cords for Subaru's for rent with this service only. Files can then be emailed or read/written from your home.

Some cords can be purchased outright or rental deposit based on application.

I will keep everyone updated!

Bren

I know for the RX8 community, MazdaManiac offers the CobbAP with 6 months of e-tuning. He has a procedure that you follow that saves all the info he needs, then you email him the file, he alters it, and sends you back a new file. You load the file on your AP, flash your car and repeat the process until satisfied or no more gains can safely be achieved out of your current setup. This could be done with other tools as well and be relatively simple for those that know what they are doing. That does not include me haha.

I've done similar things, E-tuning is very popular and I encourage it for people farther away that are self starters.

Wow, this would kick ass esepecially if you were to move far away, we can still maintain a up to date tune with the same tuner.

I like this idea, ALOT!

Look forward to it Rob.

I've been E-tuning from California to Taiwan for 3+ years now.

Bren, how much does tuning a stock 2010 wrx cost? Aslo, if I buy the tool you use, do you offer the files and software needed to return to stock and then back to your tune? Just wondering as I would use the stock for diagnostics when things just aren't running right(Eliminate all outside possibilities method).

Absolutely, shoot me an email and I can set you up with both maps and a flashing cable and software.

Does the software work with MACs?

Yes it does work with OSeX

Lol sorry had to.

So, I'm kinda confused on this. Are these cables that you rent/sell just regular Tactrix cables, or are they custom made for you to only work w/Subaru's? And would they work with LearningView/Romraider or just with this software you offer? Probably dumb questions I know but I've been wondering this since I first saw the thread.
Been debating buying a Tactrix cable (even though I'll be seeing you for my tune) because I still want to be able to read codes, see how things are running, and set readiness if ever need be. Just wondering if I need to buy a full blown one or if yours are cheaper.

Cool. I will talk to you more about it when I come down for a tune.

For an 06 all you would need is a 1.3 or 2.0 Tactrix, same thing as i'd set you up with.

Flash cables for other cars are proprietary however :)
