most subys have a 2000 pound towing limit. i tow with my impreza. ive towed a mazda mx6 on a tow dolly before with my impreza wagon and it towed it just fine. i went 30 miles like that. wouldnt suggest to do it tho hard on the clutch. my car had a hidden hitch from ebay loved it worked great easy 15 min install.

I have lots of experience towing with the soobs I've had. I had a 95 leggy 2.2 auto wagon that towed my bike just fine, 10 weekends a year for 3 years to the track and back, a 45 minute highway ride each way. I used a uhaul trailer for the first year, I have since bought and converted a cheap and light utility trailer.

I now tow, just as reliably, with my 02 leggy sedan. I got a uhaul class 1 hitch. The clutch was pretty bad when I bought the car and it still worked for me(though slipping a bit). I recently replaced the clutch and I'm sure I'll have no issues with it.

Do it up, you'll be fine!

Lots of racers are also subaru owners, and most of them tow with their cars!

and it'll be a great anchor point in the winter when there is that guy in the "4X4" stuck on the side of the road. they love getting unstuck by cars.
