Jeep Compass

When I went shopping for my Subi I did go to the Jeep dealer to look at the 2009 Patriot. Did not like it and left before they were going to show me a Compass. This was May of 2009.

Well today I got the chance to see one of these - this is my first time ever seeing one on the road. What was Jeep thinking with this thing? Chrysler has/had the Dodge Caliber, Jeep Patriot and the Compass on the same platform. I have driven a Caliber as a rental and I kind of liked it. What is the point to have the Compass and the Patriot? The Compass looks like they bolted a "Jeep" front end to the Caliber and did some funk in designing the rear of the thing. The rear door handles look like they are hidden. The Patriot looks like it at least belongs in the Jeep family.

Chrysler sucks! I wish jeep had stayed independant (square headlights :unamused:)

the only new jeeps i like are the 4 door YJ's (wranglers) which to me look cool.
and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. Not really a jeep by definition due to the fact its lowered sporty stanced AWD race suv that can do high 11's right off the show room floor. Not built for offroading with jeep strives for when releasing a vehical. But hey its cool as hell.

The new chassis of wrangler's is JK. YJ's ended in...97 I think, then went to TJ.
