Good news!! (But somewhat sad for me)

The good news is I finally found a job that doesn't require me going back to Iraq or Afghanistan!! YEEMUTHAEFFINHAWBOI!! And the pay is pretty good too!

The bad and sad news for me though is the position is in Fort Polk LA. Kinda far from here but hey.. Still in the states baby!! Not to mention less than 5hrs from New Orleans?? Can someone say Mardi Gras meet?? bwuahahaha..

Anyway, I'll be leaving very soon as it's a start date of the 25th, though I'll more than likely need to leave a bit earlier than that. A few more details to follow..

I'd like to thank EVERYONE here who I have met for the incredible amount of information, etc on not just my Subi, but in other ideas too! Ya'll kick some srs arse!

I'll still be on here even though I'll technically not be in New England.. :p

Update:

The job will be as a trainer and support of the same biometrics system I worked on in Iraq. I will need to be down, just outside of DC by the morning of the 25th for HR paperwork, then it's off to Ft Polk! So hopefully I'll get to see a few of you before I take off. :) It'll be rough though as I need to pack what I'll need for a couple months until I get settled in an apartment or whatever. I'll mail or come back up sometime in a few months to get the rest of my stuff.

In the meantime, I might have some stuff FS to help me with the move! I'll post it in the FS thread.

Hello from tiny, seedy, Leesville LA. haha. This place needs more damn subies! I've only seen 2 others not including mine.

Things here are pretty decent otherwise though. Just been workin on getting settled in. Sorry for the late reply man but yeah, I plan to come visit around turkey day this year if I can. I will be flying up though as the drive there and back is basically just as much as a plane ticket costs.

I do wish I was going to make the WBM. It makes me sad in the pants that I'll not be able to be there.

As for new stuffs, so far only tint, wheels/tires/lugs. Still trying to deside on what I want to do for gofasterparts.

So yesterday at one of the gas stations on Ft Polk I saw a nice silver RS, spoke to the guy a bit and he's not on any of the suby boards.. :eek:

Then, just as we finish and I'm walking to my car I see a nice 09 hatch WRX! With NH plates even!! I talk to that guy a bit and find out that he isn't on any of the forums either!! Not even this one!! :eek::eek: So I tolkd him the URL since I don't have any NES cards and hopefully he gets on here. His WRX is bone stock but since I have a cable I think I might be able to comvince him to atleast get a nice, solid stage 1 from Bren.. :devil:

Things are goin great so far. Got the new wheels and lugs on as seen in the new pics I posted on the VTBoost peoples.. Other than that, just workin my ass off and learning to fly that monster heli along with a much smaller electric one I have. When I come to visit I plan to try and bring one of'em and fly it around some.

Well I'm shooting for around Turkey day time frame but we'll see. I'll also most likely fly up instead of make that long ass drive so sadly I won't have my subie there. :( But +1 on the meet!

EDIT: I'll also most likely bring only the smaller heli I have as the bigger one on a plane would be rough. haha. I plan to get a couple pics soon of myself and the 2 flying lawn mowers soon and will post'em.
