Ok, i bought a winter beater, a 97 impreza 2.2. It bogs down at running temps and everyother day the dipstick pops up due to pressure build up in the motor and oil spays everywhere:lol:. Does anybody have an idea what is cuasing this. I am going to try a new pcv valve. any other ideas would be

It depends if your 2.2 uses polyvinyl chloride or has positive crankcase ventilation.

make sure you check the hoses. cuz i had mine plugg up so bad. i had to drill the black stuff out of it then scrap the rest out with a exacto knive. i bought my car like that too and i have no clue how it got that bad. ive never seen one like that since.

Yeah, I just playing. You get that PVC done Alan? They are simple, you pop the hose off, thread the old one out, little bit o' teflon tape, reinstall PCV, pop hose on and you are done.
