Not really. You would have to remove pieces and it would not really work.

If you're worried about fuel mileage, the STi was a horrible purchase. Buy a 20 year old Tercel and commute your way to 87 Octane Heaven.

93 Sentra here. 10.5 gallons 87, 400 miles.

The older subies were able to go from 4wd to 2wd by removing a fuse. Not sure about the newer ones. Plus there, you could put it back in...bad, you are still spinning the diff and other axle...still some drag. Dont know about the new ones though...good luck. I would be hesitant to 'tear' things down and have to put them back later when you wanted to ditch the car.

Older? All slushbox Subies have this feature, but it's really for emergency use only. The true old Subarus had a seperate transfer case.

The answer is here. http://mooresport.com/images/5mtsleeve.jpg

I would love to convert my 6 speed to RWD. That would be awesome but not worth it to me when the STI already oversteers if you try hard enough.
