Yeah, I hear ya. That sucks. If I was going to be around today I'd say come on over and we'd bang it out but I'm gonna be straight out this entire weekend. Sorry bud.

Is that code for doing something inappropriate in a barn with a pianist?
Bu11dogg2

 no
It took us about hour and a half. Pretty simple to do on the 02-05's.

nothing new as of late.
I've accepted the fact that I need to put more $$$ into it to finally be FULLY happy with it.
-Meth or larger turbo (FP Green)
-turbo wrap
-intake heat shield
-louvered hood scoop (to replace hood scoop delete)
-Replacement front bumper and hood (hood needs paint, bumper is beat up)
With the cooler temps as of late the car has really come alive. I'm def having some heat soak issues on the warmer days.

I advise a rotated setup if you want a bigger turbo, the fp is a biotch to fit. But once its in its in I guess.

I don't have TGVs and my mani is one solid peice so it makes fitting the turbo inlet a lot easier :)

Mmm yes it will lol, I went on many a rant during the turbo install about soa over those tgv bolts.

The tgv housing suck too... I was having some clearance issues with my hard inlet, installed my jdm intake manifold and my clearance issues were gone.

This! Have you considered going a little over board and spending a little less for a non-OEM fitment turbo and having a custom up pipe and down pipe made?
Meth is def the way to go. A customer's car at the shop just left Friday with a meth setup and putting 420/420. It is a very hybrid block but still. 257 with machined V5 heads in an 02'.

I've actually looked at quite a few turbos.
I thought that my HTA68 would be a good match but apparently I miscalculated that
I'll probably, eventually, go with EL headers, Meth and an 18G. Or maybe just an 18G and retune.

hey bulldogg2.
back on the net.
equal is common sense, even helps your heatsoak. Not sure why the stampede for lopsided rumble.
a big radiator does away with alot of thoughts.. maybe even changing turbo. Density is not just cool topside air.
sube is quite dramatic.

yeah, I know. I recently replaced my radiator because it split at the seams. Stupid plastic tops

the way those are sealed can also cause a chemistry reaction.
your engine has enough umphh to tell it like it is right away.
an n/a pushing boundaries is quite a bit of time of strange events, similar problems. I would wish it to split and be a quicker reality.

plastic/aluminum radiators and intercoolers.... c'mon subaru!

plastic/aluminum radiators and intercoolers.... c'mon subaru!
that trend was actually a world standard, plastic tanks and some self declared chemist genius gasket.
it started around 87, the end of the carb generation.
we are the experiments to this day. :unamused:
I donlt get uptight over it anymore. if a classic metal can be had..go for it.
I found aluminum, as all aluminum is as awesome as copper that has to have its brass ends.
...and that real design is older than subaru.

I would have to break my own arm, twice, or both :(
Stupid me thought it was a brilliant idea to:
1. Close my rear door with my knee
2. Lean a foldable dog crate against my rear tire and walk away
$100 to pop the dent and I could give two ****s about the scratch

jap steel. 14lbs of spring steel rod weld and she still begs for more. like long winters in maine.
setting up the scam stove, I realized that the volume dial had wrenched its colors off of the bloom- thereby flanking the impending bell, and setting the whole engine into fits of spurious contention. This coming after words and bleepings heard in the surrounding shops had already set sail!
