So...

The stock speakers in my car, well they suck, bad.

I like good clean sound and enough Bass to get the point across but not wake the neighbors.

I want: 2 tweets, 2 front door, 2 rear door and 2 rear decklid speakers.

I'd like to run them off my Alpine iva-w200 (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Hl5b6N5e7p6/p_500IVAW200/Alpine-IVA-W200.html) without an amp.... if that's possible.

You have to forgive my noobnish... the last time I did Audio in my car Cerwin Vega Series 3 Stealths were brandy new :(

I'm not looking to spend tons of $$$$ so under $300 is best :)

If you know sizes that would help a lot too :)

Advice?

Can't remember what I have in the truck, pretty sure they are Alpine S-type speakers. Very nice, hit hard, not terribly expensive. went well with my AIWA head unit.

Me too.

I personally have Boston Acoustics Speakers & JL Subs, but Alpine & Polk have some nice speakers for the money.

I also don't think you need so many rear speakers. Just two decent rears will be fine. In the front seat your ears will be focusing on the front speakers, rear is just for filler. When I had my SQ system it was just with two front component speakers and a 10" Sub.

If you are going for good SQ on a budget, I would recommend slowly building it up. Maybe an amp and some front speakers? It's better to build up what you want slowly, then going through the effort of installing sub-par speakers that you won't be happy with, just to upgrade them in the future.

I know you have that single 8" too. I talked to my buddy/ex co-worker who was the installer at Tweeter, he no longer has supplies for making a box.

If I were in your situation, I would go audition some speakers you like for the front, get a 4 channel amp to run your fronts and sub, then gradually build up from there.

You probably wouldn't need 3 separate boxes. Depending on the impedance of the subs you could probably just wire them together in a box. One of my co-workers from the Tweeter days, had 3 8" W0's running off a JL250/1 and it was very clean and still had some low end extension.

Check out best buy, crutchfield, and try and find some local shops to compare to as well. There is a nice shop in Manchester, Auto Accessory Experts, they have JL audio and Alpine and may be able to hook you up with a deal. At least it's worth a call.

you dont need 3 boxes but your one box should have seperate chambers for each subwoofer.

Installation I can do... it's the current industry technology i'm not familiar with :(

My car is already prewired for amp and speakers :)

I don't trust ebay.

I'd rather buy at BestBuy and be able to return it if it sucks or is broken
