I bought this some years ago for my lowered talon. Used it a handful of times and it's been sitting in my garage ever since because I sold my talon and bought an SUV. I never even took the protective plastic off the landing. In the picture, it just looks a little dusty from sitting in my garage. I don't know what these go for, so $50 bucks sounds fair to me?

Let me know if you want it!

So I finally got a few free minutes to post up a few pictures of my 99 GSX which I have almost finished the Twin Turbo build on. Well it is really never done always a work in progress . I am still working on the staged injection system that will inject methanol using 4 seperate fuel injectors these are in addition to the normal 4 injectors suppling regular pump gas Currently just running on 93 pump gas.
The turbo System is similar to a sequential turbo set up in some ways. Large turbo is a Garrett GT4294R small is a Garrett GT2560R.
Currently making approx 450 HP on pump gas once meth is back on line looking to turn the boost back up to reach 750-800 whp like it was with the old meth set up and single large turbo. The gain with the twins is that I will get boost around 2.5k rpm on the small turbo which is way better down low then was with the 42R would come in around 6k -6.5k

Its a lot better to drive with power below 6k Rpm

Thanks for looking

"Pre-eminence means creativity, not imitation. It means using all the technologies and approaches of the present, not the criteria of the past. In meeting these challenges, the Lexus LS400 stands supreme as the foremost luxury saloon of its generation."

For sale is the car, nay, champion, that started it all for the luxury brand Lexus. The LS400 was the first Lexus, and arguably the best. Back in the 80's, Toyota pumped 1 Billion dollars(!) into the development of the LS. Its job was to put Lexus on the map, and show that the Japanese can produce a luxury car that could rival the luxury heavyweight, BMW and Mercedes. What they produced was the LS400. Powered by the 4.0 L 1UZ-FE V8, the LS400 produced 250hp and 260tq all to the rear wheels, and is good for several hundred thousand miles. Search craiglist, most of the Ls's have way over 200k. Almost none are being parted out because the engine failed.

Now my car, 1991 Lexus LS400.

Mileage: 104,xxx

Color: Light Blue

Interior: Blue/grey

Pros:

Low Mileage, 104k is barely broken in

Lots of receipts/paperwork for work done, all major services are up to date

Clean interior

Leather is in very good condition. Only wear is on the driver seat, look at the attached pictures.

Instrument Panel completely lights up, usually a common problem for LS's.

Runs great

Stops great

Only rust I've seen is a 1 1/1in line on the fender, see pics. Never seen a Maine winter! I've seen it up on a lift, undercarriage is clean.

Sunroof doesnt leak, windows all work, radio sounds great, all lights work.

Currently stickered until the end of the month, then I'll renew it.

Only 3 owners, me, who owned it for a total of 3 months, an older Greek man who it owned for a year, and a spry young lady who bought it brand new when she was 65 and sold it in 2011 when she turned 85.

Engine was clean when I got it, still clean.

Shifts Great

Still have original first aid, everything in it

Same with Lexus tool kit and face towel, never used(!)

Newer front tires.

A/C heat work perfectly.

Ever driven a LS? Has the best steering feel of any car I've driven, its too easy. Parking is a breeze. And its extremely quiet on the road, thanks to, "Some 300 technological innovations to aid smooth operation and silence, including fluid-damped cabin fixtures,vibration-insulating rubber mounts, airflow fairings, and sandwich steel body panels" 0-60 8.5 seconds, not to shabby for a big luxury car, passing on the highway is effortless. Gas mileage is good too, I was getting in the middle 20's around town, and high 20's on the highway. Just drive with lightfoot.

I love the little things in this car: the tilting headrests, little sun visor between the big ones, lights on all the doors, upper leg vent for the air. Amazing. Instrument panel is one of the best I've seen.

Cons:

Valves have a slight tick. Normal for a first gen LS, see here:http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...howtopic=15338 , http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls40...it-normal.html Basically it won't hurt the engine, but it would nice to have it quiet again.

First owner, kept everything clean and kept the car up on maintenance, but wasn't the best driver. Dent on the rear corner, scratches on a few spots, but overall is in good condition. See pics.

Slight wear on the drivers seat bolster, see pics.

Slight vibration when cruising at highway speed, $75 alignment will cure it.

HVAC panel doesnt light up unless it's hot out. Doesnt affect the controls however. Common Ls problem, vendors on ebay can fix it.

Trac light comes every once in a while, doesn't affect anything.

Clear is peeling on the drivers fender, thanks first owner.

It does have a chunk taken out by the bead.. However with some aluminum tape and bead glue it holds air surprisingly.. Obviously it's not safe for the street but if you're moving a car around, holding up a car, using it as a seat or using it for a discus event it's about as amazing as a STI convertible. While I might also add, having a rim like this will definitely get you noticed by the ladies.

Again this rim is synonymous with free.

This morning on my way to work I noticed an odd feeling in my brake pedal that felt like air in my lines (but only occurs under light braking just before the vehicle comes to a stop). Eventually my ABS light came on and I assumed that my fluid was a little low.

Fasr forward to after work, issue still persists. Checked fluid level and master cylinder, fluid level is fine and no leaks found.

Decided to pull ABS fuse and go for a test drive and the issue is no longer present. What is wrong with my ABS? Sensor, solenoid, ABS module?

Car: 02 WRX wagon
Brakes: STI brembos
Mileage: 104k
Fluid: ATE Super blue

Brembos, rotors and pads were installed less than 10k miles ago with a complete fluid flush.

I'm tempted to delete ABS as opposed to throwing money at parts.

SPT Lightweight flywheel = broken bolts in crank

So we installed a SPT Lightweight flywheel on a wrx, and it drove fine for a couple days, than it started making some bad noise, Sounded like a bad throw out bearing to me because when I got on the clutch pedal a bit, the noise would stop. So We pulled the engine, and felt the TOB, if felt fine, so we started to pull off the pressure plate, and when we broke the first of the 12mm bolts free, the entire flywheel and clutch assembly shifted on the crank. At first, I thought the bolts that hold the flywheel on weren't tightened to spec, but Once I got the pressure plate off, I noticed the head had broken off one of the bolts, and the rest were still at torque spec. Come to find out the SPT flywheel is considerably thinner where the bolts go through, so all the bolts that hold it on bottomed out in the crank, allowing the flywheel to wobble on the crank.:spin: Whats worse is ALL 8 of the bolts Broke below the surface when I tried to break them free, so now I have a crank with TIGHT studs threaded in and under the surface.

The solution?
First thing I am going to try is to bring the long block to a machine shop, and mount it to a mill with the crank vertical, cam gears down and try to drop a 1/4" endmill down each of the 8 holes relieving the stress on the bolts, and allowing an easy out to pull whats left of the bolts out.

Event: Dyno tune
Car: 2010 Legacy GT
Tuner: BG @ BrenTuning
Location: Sea Level
Temperature: 51 degrees
Dyno Info: Dyno Dynamics S/O
Transmission: 6MT
Gear: 3rd
Peak HP: 288whp
Peak Torque: 356wtq
Baseline hp/tq for stock on same dyno: 241whp
Target Boost: 16.5 psi to taper up top
Fuel: 93 octane

Engine/Power Modifications:

Invidia 3" Catback
Drop in filter

Our first go with ProTuner on the Nwew 2010 LGT experience was eye opening at least. Only one other tuner has provided results so far. The turbo setup is completely unique - as is the Dual AVCS motor and turbocharger. Based on power graphs we were excited to get into the AVCS maps and make some real power. Stock and Cobb OTS do not address these tables at all.

This car really surprised us all. A group of LGT.com members showed up to watch the events. I prepared a strategy I know works on the STi / Legacy AVCS and modified it from there. Results were eye opening.

The car has about 10,500 miles and is in MINT condition. I had a clear bra put on and had the windows tinted to 35% before I drove it off the lot. Oil was changed at 1,000 miles, 5,500 miles, 10,000 miles using OEM filters and Rotella T6. Adult owned, non smoker. Never raced, tracked, or beat on. Don't think i've had it above 90 mph in the year that i've had it. Hasn't had a drop of fuel other than Shell V-power.

Factory installed options:
Armrest extension
STI 5sp shift knob
All-weather mats (carpet mats are included, never used)
Rubber trunk mat

Aftermarket:
BrenTuned (http://www.newenglandsubarus.com/for...ad.php?t=24344)
Nvidia Q300 cat-back
Whiteline front 24mm sway bar
Whiteline rear 22mm sway bar
Kartboy front and rear endlinks
Kartboy short shifter with front and rear bushings
SMY ClusterMaker w/ Prosport mechanical boost gauge
Rallyarmor UR mud flaps w/ red font
Drag DR31, 17x8 bronze wheels w/ Falken Ziex ZE-512 all season tires
Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 cable (never used) w/ OBD2 extension cable

The exhaust and tune was done just after the 5,500 mile oil change (late December 2011). The wheels and tires were put on around 2,000 miles. Whiteline bars were installed in January 2012. All stock parts will be included.

In December I was involved in a minor accident. A lady pulled onto a main road without looking and froze like a deer in headlights when she saw me coming. I was doing about 30mph when I hit the brakes, and nearly came to a complete stop before side swiping her. The damages were cosmetic and I had the car repaired at the Subaru body shop. They ended up sanding and respraying the front passenger fender and bumper cover. The clear bra in those areas were replaced as well. It looks at least as good as new and it comes with a lifetime warranty. OEM Subaru paint.

Asking $27,000 as is, $25,800 w/o catback, Whiteline bars, Kartboy endlinks, Tactrix OpenPort.

Thanks for looking!

Will work on getting better pics.

So long story short the engine is back out of the car, and we are considering going straight to our new engine, but first we would have to sell the current EJ205 engine.

Whats for sale:
-EJ205 engine (unknown miles, minor piston slap on #2)
-Heads (on block with good OE headgaskets. cams look perfectly clean, and heads are mint.)
-Intake manifold (has been modified to ft reverse mount)
-Deleted TGV's
-Throttle body
-OE exhaust manifold
-Catless Up-pipe (unknown brand)
-TD04 (great shape ran 18 PSI tapering to 15 at redline)
-Silicone Turbo inlet
-SPT Intake
-Wiring harness, (minor modification to fit rotated/tgv delete setup.
-OBX style Fuel rails with SS lines, and good FPR
-NA flywheel with NA stage 3 pressure plate ( I may also be able to get my hands on a clutch disc.)
-Power steering pump
-Alternator
-Modified brackets/ tensioner to run rotated intake manifold
-Oil pan/ pick up/ pump/ cooler

The good:
-The long block is being soda blasted, so it looks brand new.
-Made ~250 WHP for the last two years
-Awesome compression when I checked it last fall.

The Bad:
-Unknown miles, but It looks MINT inside heads and oil pan.
-Recently had the bolts that connect the flywheel to the crank break, I will be taking it to a machine shop to see if I can remove what is left of the bolts, and the price is assuming the crank will be in good order when it is sold.
-Piston slap on CYL #2

This is perfect for some one with a NA 2nd gen who wants to drop in a turbo engine.
What you will need to run this in a NA
-Turbo back exhaust
-Turbo crossmember (I have one that has been cut and welded I can throw in.
-Dash Wiring harness for a WRX
-WRX ECU
-intercooler/Pipes
-O2 sensor
-Boost controller (I have a MBC from bren or a stock STi EBCS I can include)
-BOV

Right now, I am looking for about $2,000 for everything, and If you are installing it in a NA, I can help you with any wiring issues.

Price:2000
Location:Nashua NH
