As a ten year troll, I look forward to these things.
http://www.vbulletin.com/index.php?d...forum-features given the abilities, it must be individual encoders making it miserable. |

I just tried to log onto a site that was VB4. It wouldn't let me. Just kept bringing me to a registration site, even though I am already a member. nothing was showing right, and it took a long time to load... I personally think NES is fine as it is right now. Loads quick, looks ok, does its job. No reason to switch.

Sexy. I brought it back.

I think VB4 has some great features that, if used properly, would lend themselves to car forums quite nicely. Integrating a CMS (Content Management System for those that don't know) allows the creation of "articles".
In our case, Articles could be walk-through and howto guides. That'd be really handy, instead of making a forum thread sticky. A sticky thread is a stupid idea when what you're looking for is one concise item with all the info you want. The look of the classical forum is basically the same. I mean, certainly nothing that's impossible to figure out. I think what everyone is experiencing is a forum that goes through a straight upgrade with no testing or further customization. VBulletin by itself is pretty sparse, but we've become used to it. Updating the look and feel means admins have to go back and re-tool their customizations to work within the new theming structure. Not impossible, but it takes time most of them aren't going to spend right now. |

A lot of the plug ins haven't been brought over yet and many people are complaining about bugs and issues.
