Thread: new to subaru

    Default new to subaru

just picked up a 05 outback xt a couple weeks ago. 1 old man owner 57k miles. its my first automatic in a while, I miss a manual but its tolerable. I had a vw jetta 1.8t before this. tuning looks a lot more complicated with Subaru. I'm going to start with boost gauge, legacy gt suspention and a catless uppipe. so I'm browsing around, trying to learn some things.

Tuning is really easy. Subaru are like legos. Most things fit all of them, especially engine wise. Uppipe, downpipe, ebcs and a tune and you'll have a good start for power mods.

As everyone else said, tuning is easy. catless 3" turbo back, up pipe and a tune make all the difference! Cobb AccessPorts are pretty tit too if you want to go that route

I'm in Lyndonville vt. I think I will work on suspension, catless uppipe, and add some gauges for now. save the tuning and performance for later. cobb is a little pricey for me right now. but stage 1 ish eventually.

Don't need an AP to get a tune.
