All 05'+ Imprezas are tunable. A rarity would be to find an Accessport as Cobb only made them for a short period of time. Easier is just to have it open source tuned. As Wagoon said you will net more drivability than power. And yes do all mods you plan for exhaust and intake before taking it tone tuned. Kinetic in Hampstead NH, BrenTuning in Mass, EFI Logic in CT, just about anyone that has is willing to tune turbo subarus will tune these cars also.

Negative. Subaru locked out the Legacys unfortunately. The foresters from 05'+ may be doable but haven't had the opportunity to see anyone with those years and also desire tuning. RomRaider will let you pull logs but not actually rewrite and reflash the ROM.

as Ive said in other threads the biggest gains you'll see are the over-all driveability. you will still get some horsepower gains, all vary depending on mods etc.. but all the accounts of getting tuned (typically by Bren) have all been very pleased with the results of their NA being tuned. if I ever get off my ass/get rich and finish the wagoon I chose the 06 engine/ecu JUST for the tuning ability.
yeah my bad.. I meant 93

Okay let me make a new stipulation. SOA liked it out. If you get your hands on a UK ECU... http://www.ecutek.com/products/proecu/flash2004/
next 3.0R I do(which won't be a crazy boosted one like the one I am now) will simply be UK ECU and then cracking I to it with this.

Why Ecutek? I don't know of anyone that does ecutek anymore. You could have open source tuning done however.

Unfortunately no I can't as the ecu is still undefined. Or so all the tuners I speak to tell me. Its a 2011 legacy 3.6R baseline on mustang dyno was 212awhp and 219tq. At ECS. But it is begging for a tune. Any help is appreciated.

You may be trapped with standalone and shoving in some ODB2 acceptable and tunable ECU to tune the motor but have something to plug the ODB2 readiness tester into and pass.
